DEIB Commitment Statement

NJAIS is fully committed to delivering inclusive experiences for the teachers, administrators, and trustees our association serves. We believe this work is urgent and important. After collaboration among NJAIS Board members, school administrators, and diversity practitioners, we arrived at this statement:

NJAIS Commitment Statement on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging

NJAIS reaffirms its commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community that promotes a sense of belonging for all individuals. NJAIS expects member schools to actively develop and implement systems and structures as well as teaching that are both anti-racist and culturally responsive. We provide programming, resources, and professional affinity groups for teachers, administrators, and trustees. Through our actions, beliefs, and vision, we will continue to stand against all forms of discrimination to help heal our society and allow everyone to be seen, known, heard, and valued.
