Cancellation Policy

For Round Tables: Registration fees will only be refunded if NJAIS is notified of your cancellation one week prior to the program. You may transfer your registration to another faculty from your school.

For Workshops, Conferences, and Retreats: Registration fees will only be refunded if NJAIS is notified of your cancellation two weeks prior to the program. You may transfer your registration to another faculty from your school.

In the event of inclement weather, programs may be delayed or postponed.

NJAIS Inclement Weather Guidelines

NJAIS wants registrants to use their best judgment when traveling from various parts of the state for any NJAIS program.

In case of inclement weather either on a single-day NJAIS workshop, or on the first day of a multi-day NJAIS program:

  1. Please check your email two hours prior to the event start time. This will indicate the status of the program.
  2. In some cases, the program will be held as planned, if the speaker(s) has been able to travel to the program location. If a registrant is uncomfortable with traveling and chooses not to attend the program, then it is the registrant's responsibility to identify a replacement. No refunds will be issued.
  3. If a speaker(s) is unable to be present for the program, NJAIS will take the following steps to inform participants of the postponement and/or cancellation of the program:

    a.) The speaker will join the program via Zoom
    b.) If NJAIS learns a day or more in advance of the program that the speaker is unable to present, staff at NJAIS will contact registrants immediately by email.
