Ranney School is an Age 3-Grade 12 independent, college preparatory school based in Tinton Falls, NJ. The Upper School seeks a teacher who primarily will teach Upper School Spanish, up through, and including AP Spanish Language.


Candidates will ideally have an advanced degree in education, Spanish, or a related field. Candidates with the ability to teach French or MS Spanish, may also be given priority. Experience teaching world languages in a middle or upper school setting is also ideal.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Teach five sections of Spanish (and potentially French), primarily at the Upper School level.

  • Participate in the Upper School’s “Maymester” program, potentially leading trips abroad.

  • In addition to a full-time teaching schedule, faculty serve as advisors, mentor students in co-curricular activities (coaching athletics, if possible), participate in division and department meetings, serve on school-wide committees and in various supervisory roles. Developing strong relationships with students and colleagues is critical for one’s success at Ranney and for the school’s successful accomplishment of its mission.
