This full year Institute is designed for Heads of School who are brand-new to the position, started the position within the last year, or are experienced Heads who are new to New Jersey, this program is designed to grow your network, provide you with go-to individuals in each of the program modules, and foster a sense of community within NJAIS.
This session will explore the legal landscape specific to New Jersey independent schools, including employment law, student rights, liability, compliance, and governance frameworks. Understand how state and federal laws intersect with the day-to-day responsibilities of heads of school.

This session is for Board of Trustee members in their first or second year of service on the Board, or for those who want a reminder of the principles of good governance. You will be presented with an overview of the basic concepts and complexities of independent school governance. Case studies provide an interactive session.
