PIVOT! We heard this many times through the spring of 2020 as we moved our in-person coursework quickly to a virtual classroom in response to the global pandemic. As uncertainty looms, it is clear that teachers must have their curriculum and instruction ready for alternative equivalency in student learning. Whether online or in some form of in-class work, educators will need to prepare for quick pivots for the foreseeable future.

This hands-on, interactive webinar will ask participants to bring two weeks of lesson plans in order to workshop, redesign, and prepare for teaching in any (and all) learning platforms. During the redesign process, teachers and school leaders will consider cognitive load for both students and faculty, active learning within the assigned work, Universal Design for Learning to support engagement, and how shifts in learning platforms can present new learning opportunities as well as challenges. By utilizing what is already in place, teachers can shift in a split second - PIVOT!
