NEW JERSEY NONPUBLIC SCHOOL STATE PROGRAM COMPLAINT PROCESS

New Jersey’s public school districts offer Chapter 192 and Chapter 193 services, nursing services, and textbook aid to eligible students attending nonpublic schools in their district. Each public school district seeks the input of nonpublic school administrators in the development and ongoing improvement of their programs. To that end, the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) has developed a process for nonpublic school administrators to communicate with NJDOE about the Chapter 192, Chapter 193, nursing, and textbook aid concerns.

Before submitting a complaint to NJDOE, nonpublic school administrators must first address the issues to the local district and/or third party provider. However, if the issues are not satisfactorily resolved, the nonpublic school administrator may issue a complaint to the NJDOE
