Golda Och Academy is a vibrant learning community that focuses on the individual intellectual, social, and spiritual needs of each child. We cultivate in students a lifelong love of learning within the context of Jewish knowledge and heritage. Our school is located on two campuses — one for the Lower School and one for the Upper School — located about two miles apart in West Orange, serving approximately 525 students from more than 60 communities across New Jersey.
Golda Och Academy is accepting applications for an English/language arts teacher to teach a range of courses, in both middle and high school. Depending upon enrollment, there may be a full- and/or part-time position available to begin fall 2018.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in teaching middle and/or high school, the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, and a desire to be part of an independent school community. Candidates should have experience integrating technology in the classroom and the ability to differentiate instruction to effectively work with a range of learners. Ideal candidates will hold an M.A. in a literature and/or certification.
At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience preferred
M.A. and/or certification preferred
Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
