The position provides general support to five-person Institutional Advancement staff and will have specific duties related to the support of the Director.  
Reports to: Director of Institutional Advancement
Responsibilities:

  • Schedule management of the department’s staff
  • Handle all incoming phone calls and greet walk-in guests
  • Process mail for the department
  • Data entry
  • Record and distribute meeting minutes of all Advancement Committee and sub-committee meetings
  • Provide support assistance for special events
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment
  • Manage files – electronic and paper
  • Maintain department budget and create reports

Requirements

  • Three to five years in administrative support positions
  • Strong telephone and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience in database management is highly desirable
  • Team-oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Minimum two years of college course work or appropriate technical training

* Exceptional writing, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills;

* Capacity to manage multiple deadline-oriented projects simultaneously;
* Ability to exercise sound judgment, handle confidential matters with discretion, and develop a broad knowledge of the organization's programs, practices, policies, and procedures.
* Proficiency in Word, Excel and working knowledge of Raiser's Edge.
