Linda
L Moore,
Executive Director, NJAIS
Linda has been Executive Director of NJAIS since August of
1996. Prior to this, she was Director of Member Services at
Independent Educational Services (IES), is a nonprofit organization
which assists private, independent schools nationwide in the
recruitment and hiring of faculty members. During her fourteen
years with IES, she visited over 300 schools throughout the
country and developed a broad understanding of independent
education. While at NJAIS she has served two terms as the
Chairperson of the New Jersey Advisory Committee for Nonpublic
Schools. She currently serves on the Steering Committee for
the NAIS/Association Independent School Advocacy Initiative.
As Executive
Director of NJAIS, Linda's responsibilities include management
of the NJAIS Professional Development Program including the
Trustee Enrichment Day, Leadership Institute, biennial conference,
and other workshops for faculty and administrators. She organizes
the marketing of NJAIS schools, communication between NJAIS
and various constituent groups, and acts as a lobbyist for
NJAIS. She also has oversight of the NJAIS Accreditation Program.
An active
member in her local community, Linda served two terms on her
local township council, including one year as the town's first
woman mayor. She currently serves on the Community Arts Partnership
at the Peddie School Board of Directors.
